Terms and Conditions
On this page, you will find information pertaining to our terms of use. Please take the time to carefully review the following terms and conditions that govern the supply of products and services on our website before proceeding to use our services. Also, do visit our website regularly as we may change these terms and conditions periodically, without specifically alerting you to any of the changes made.
Rain/ Wet Weather Policy
Meta Tennis Coaches reserve the right to cancel or postpone the tennis lesson during bad weather conditions - this would be entirely for safety reasons.
Our Coaches usually conduct weather checks 1 hour prior to lesson start time. At this juncture, student and Coach can make the decision to cancel and reschedule the class. Lesson fees will not be charged in this case, but court fees may still be chargeable - ie. if ActiveSG does not process a refund for the tennis court booking.
If the rain stops before lesson time and student and Coach decide to proceed as planned, the Coach and students will utilise lesson time to dry the courts until it is deemed safe by the Coach. They can then use the remaining lesson time to conduct the lesson. Our Coaches will try, as a sign of goodwill, (but are not obligated) to make up any lost time in future sessions.
For Private Lessons: If the class has commenced and has to be called off due to weather, the chargeable duration of the lesson will be as follows:
1-29 mins of lesson time - 1/2 lesson charges
30 mins onwards - full lesson charges
For Interest Group Lessons: If the class has commenced and has to be called off due to weather, the chargeable duration will be the full lesson duration.
The Coach will make the decision whether to pause, resume, or cancel the lesson during wet weather conditions.
Attendance and Makeup Policy
For Private classes, you are required to inform your tennis coach and/or the Meta Tennis admin at least 24 hours before the lesson should you wish to cancel or postpone your lesson. However, you will have to forfeit the court fee and booking fee (if any) regardless of the cancellation reason.
In the event of late cancellation, presenting a medical certificate will allow you to retain your lesson fees without forfeiture. Medical certificates should be presented to the Meta Tennis admin no later than 3 hours before the planned lesson timing.
For Interest Group Classes, there will not be any compensation or make-up lessons regardless of the reason.
Lost time due to the student’s tardiness will not be compensated or replaced. Full fees will apply for no-show by students (ie. student did not show up for planned lesson)
Private Lessons Package T&Cs
All 7 hours packages will have a validity period of 3 months from the date of the very first lesson (ie. if first lesson is on 2 August 2024, the 7 hours package will expire on 1 November 2024).
Any no-shows or late cancellations (cancellations made within 24h of lesson timing) will be fully charged.
We recognize that peak slots can be challenging to book at certain condos/venues. If you are unable to secure your preferred slot, we strongly recommend arranging an alternative time to maintain a consistent schedule, and complete your package in a timely fashion.
All unused lesson hours/credits will be forfeited at the end of the 3 month package validity period.
Payment
For ala carte lessons, fee payment needs to be completed no later than 48h prior to lesson start time (ie. fees to be paid by 8pm on Monday, if lesson is planned for Wednesday 8pm).
We understand that you may wish to complete your first/initial lesson with your Coach before deciding on package arrangement. In this case, we expect to receive package payment at the end of the first lesson.
For existing students, we expect package lessons to be recurring, until the Coach has been notified of student’s intentions to stop.
For existing students, payment for package renewals is to be completed at the end of the 7th lesson.
Entrance & Usage of Tennis Courts
Private Condo/Club Courts
Students are required to pay for any security deposit, entrance, or parking fees (if applicable) for the tennis coach.
Different condo or club managements may have their own set of policies for tennis lessons conducted at their premises. Students are to check with the condo or club management about any such policies before their first lesson with our Coaches at their premises. Additionally, students should also remain updated about any announcements that may arise periodically (ie. condo court closure for renovation, washing. upgrading works etc)
